IDEAS THAT NEEDED SOMEWHERE TO EXIST.

This is where I put the things I can’t stop thinking about: objects, prototypes, digital ideas and experiments that are still becoming something.

S/L — FORM STUDY 001

NOT FINISHED. NOT SUPPOSED TO BE. / CONCEPT PREVIEW

03 / FEATURED EXPERIMENT / LAB-001

ZUK KEYCHAIN

A tiny object. A surprisingly long rabbit hole. ZUK starts with a sketch and a question: can a character become something you carry around?

IN PROGRESS / Visual study, not a final product render. The shape will probably change. That’s the point.

ZUK / STUDY 01 / CONCEPT PREVIEW

01 SKETCH / 02 BLENDER / 03 PRINT TEST / 04 FAIL & ADJUST / 05 NEXT ITERATION

04 / A NOTE FROM DAMIAN

WHY DOES THIS EXIST?

NO BRIEF. JUST CURIOSITY.

Not every project begins with a business plan.

Sometimes I make something to learn a process. Sometimes to test a feeling. Sometimes because I want to see what happens when an idea leaves the sketchbook.

Structure Lab makes room for all of it: finished things, wrong turns, strange little objects and ideas that don’t have a job yet. This isn’t a collection of answers. It’s a place to keep asking.

05 / FRAGMENTS, QUESTIONS, USEFUL MISTAKES

PROCESS / FIELD NOTES

NOTE / 001 — ZUK

How small can it get before it loses its character?

Shape exploration / illustrative study

NOTE / 002 — OBJECT ARCHIVE

[ ? ]

An archive without a perfect category for everything.

Interface hypothesis / not a screenshot

NOTE / 003 — NEXT PRINT TEST

TRY AGAIN.

A failed test is still a useful object.

Question: wall thickness, fit, durability?

LAB-004 / NFC KEYCHAIN / PROTOTYPE

ONE OBJECT. ANOTHER WAY IN.

Can a keychain become a doorway? This experiment connects a pocket-sized physical object with a digital space. Next questions: where does the tag sit, what happens on contact, and how much explanation should the object need?
